Her Excellency Dr Joyce Banda who is the Presidential torchbearer for the People’s Party (PP) in the forthcoming tripartite election on Wednesday launched Malawi Police Service Women Network with a call for a review of Malawi Police condition of service.
The function was held at National Police Headquarters in Area 30, Lilongwe.
“I recommend that there should be a total review of conditions of services to facilitate regular promotions especially to those in very low ranks.
“We also need to consider building more and better houses for our police staff and on this, the Inspector General of Police assured me that a building section could be mobilized from the MPS staff,” she said.
The Network will aim at facilitating the professional and social development of all police women officers in the police.
The Head of State also donated 20 sewing Machine, 100,000 day old chicks and K10million for the Malawi Police women officers.
