President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika will tomorrow, August 8, be the Guest of Honour during the Celebrations of Umthetho at Hora in Mzimba.
This has been disclosed in a Press Statement from the Office of the President and Cabinet signed by Presidential Press Secretary Gerald Viola.
Umthetho of the Ngoni of Mzimba is an annual cultural event that promotes and preserves the Ngoni heritage.
The last celebration was held in 2012 and the past two years Mzimba Ngoni never held the ceremony in honour of M’mberwa IV who passed on in 2013.
According to the organizing committee of this year’s celebration money amounting to MK14 million has been set aside for the event and 30 cows will be slaughtered.
Meanwhile President Mutharika is expected to arrive at Hora by 10:00 AM.
