Salim Bagus resigns from PP, joins DPP

Opposition People’s Party (PP) National Organizing Secretary Salim Bagus has resigned from the Party and joined the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).

Bagus made the announcement on Wednesday during the DPP rally in the north.

He said he has decided to join the Party to help in solving the challenges rocking the country at the moment.

“I can confirm that I have resigned from PP and I have joined the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) to offer my little help to President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika as strive in taking the country ahead,” said Bagus.

Bagus was among those people who strongly opposed the appointment of Uladi Mussa as Interim President by former President Dr. Joyce Banda.
