Suspected thief rescued from angry mob in Zingwangwa

Well-wishers have this morning rescued a suspected thief who was about to burnt in Zingwangwa Township in the commercial capital Blantyre.

The development comes barely hours after an irate mob in Chikwawa killed a suspected murderer who was being kept at Makhuwila Police Unit in the district.

According to information sourced by this publication, the suspected thief was caught while trying to break one of the shops at Zingwangwa market this morning.

Eyewitness told this publication that, after catching thief, the irate mob thought of burning him alive, thanks to a minibus driver who whisked away the suspected thief.

Meanwhile the suspected thief is being kept at Soche Police in Blantyre.
