Elections Case Update: AG Takes on Chilima, Asks SKC to Agree ‘Voters Voted in Secrecy’

Attorney General (AG) Kalekeni Kaphale has asked United Transforamtion Movement president Dr. saulos Chilima to agree that who Maawi electoral commission (MEC) declared winner was the true reflection of what voters voted for as the voters voted in secrecy.

Kaphale said this in court as the AG is cross examine Chilima on the election case that is underway at Bingu International Conference Center (BICC) in Lilongwe.

When questioning Chilima, Kaphale asked the former vice president if he is aware of any monitors who were not there during the counting of votes in which Chilima responded that he is aware of one or two.

Kaphale has therefore asked Chilima to agree that voters voted in secrecy.
