Lake Malawi, paradise in the center of Africa

Lake Malawi is the oasis and home for various wild animals in Africa. Freshwater lake that stretches in these 3 countries offers the magnificent view with clear blue water and colorful fish. Diving in this place is just like dive in a giant aquarium.

Because of its size, no wonder if many tourists called this lake as the sea in the land. Lake Malawi, also known as Lake Nyassa, stretches through 3 countries: Malawi, Mozambique, and Tanzania. This lake has a length around 580 km with wide 75 km. This beautiful lake is the central point of Ruhuhu river, Shire river and Zambezi River that across Mozambique. Just give up if you’re trying to find the end of lake, because Lake Malawi is never ending water, as far as the eye can see.

Just like the ocean. The water is really extraordinary and has clear blue water. The beaches around the lake have a white sandy shores and really softly.

In actual fact, this lake is the next deepest freshwater lake in The African continent. Local government of Mozambique says the lake as one of the largest biodiversity in the world of fauna. Furthermore, this lake is on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Going swimming in lake malawi is like swimming in the large aquarium. Official website of tourism Malawi say that numerous Cichlids, also known as Angel Fish, swimming around the lake. Angel Fish has a wonderful mixture of body color, glowing just like a fish in the anemone ocean.

There are two uninhabited islands, Likoma and the Chizumulu. You are able to go swimming in this 2 islands, or maybe kayaking and water skiing. You will also find Cape Maclear which is a place for many backpackers who want to enjoy this lake.

Baobab tree grown in several areas and the tree is a place for many wild birds of Africa. Lake Malawi is also a habitat for hippos, crocodiles, birds, and monkeys. If you are lucky, in Lake Malawi you can view eagles catching the fish.
