Driver abandons hemp-loaded minibus


Police in Blantyre have impounded 13 bags of Indian hemp that was loaded in a minibus which was travelling along the Chipembere highway in the city. Depurty Police Public Relations Officer for Blantyre, Lameck Thembachako, said the bags were intercepted by traffic police officer who were doing routine checks near Tambala Food Products on friday. Both the driver and conductor of the minibus, regisration number NU 7080, run away upon being stopped by the traffic police officers.
