It is not only the officers who gunned 21 men down in the streets of Malawi in 2011, on 20 April, that were trigger happy. Even one man working, surprisingly not in the Police, but at the Ministry of Finance was also trigger-happy; at least the reports on Mphwiyo’s style life reveal that.
According to the Weekend Nation of today, September 28, Mphwiyo was so much a character who at times would shoot his gun in the air, just shooting, to scare away robbers and possible thugs.
Apparently, the day he was shot some people (or even most) thought that it was Mphwiyo doing what he knows best: scaring away threats by shooting in the air randomly.
Unfortunately, the people were wrong, Mphwiyo had just met the poison of bullets he fired in the air with little caution.
