There’s no crisis at KCH – says PP

Deputy minister of local government in the PP led regime, Godfrey Kamanya has decided to have a dance with fire by irking the Malawian society.

Speaking in Phalombe, the youthful minister who was part of the MCP before shifting seats to DPP and now, PP, said that there is no crisis at Kamuzu central hospital as others would want to believe.

The minister was reacting to the events that happened yesterday in which staff of Kamuzu Central Hospital and some concerned citizens marched to Parliament to claim that there was a crisis at the hospital as there were no drugs among other things.

However, speaking at a traditional leader elevation in Phalombe, Kamanya said that it was all bluff that there was a crisis at the hospital and said that the demonstrations were organized by DPP and were sponsored by the party leader, Peter Mutharika, together with his personal assistant, Ben Phiri.

The DPP is yet to respond to the issue.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that staff at KCH have been irked by Kamanya’s sentiments and have vowed to down their tools until the minister apologises.
