The ruling Peoples’ Party (PP) has unveiled its party manifesto at a function that was organized to give Certificates to the aspiring members of Parliament who emerged winners in the by-elections.

The function was held at Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe on Sunday.

“This is the winning party, I am confident that PP will continue ruling this country for the next 10 years,” said President Joyce Banda, PP’s torch bearer in the May elections.

Among those aspiring candidates who received their certificates included her son Roy Kachale as candidates for Zomba Malosa and Vice President Khumbo Kachali for Mzimba South West Constituency.

The Peoples’ Party was formed after President Banda was sidelined from the then ruling Democratic Progressive Party of Bingu wa Mutharika of which she was his running mate.
