MRA EMPLOYEE COMMITS SUICIDE BY SHOOTING HIMSELF

Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) tax officer has committed suicide by shooting himself in the head outside his house in Chigumula Township in Blantyre.

The incident happened on the wee hours of Monday, December 7, 2015.

Limbe Police Station deputy spokesperson Pedzisai Zembeneko confirmed of the development in an interview with the press and identified the deceased as Lumbani Namba, 39.

Zembeneko said Namba was found dead Monday morning few metres away from his house.

He said the deceased left a suicide note but denied to disclose what was written in the note.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that deceased was having problems with his wife as they could quarrel most of the times.

Meanwhile postmortem results conducted at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) reveled that Namba shot himself through the mouth.
