As Malawians across the country over the weekend were cerebrating the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, this was not the case with well-known Malawian rapper Matse, real name Martin Nkhata of ‘Mwano’ hit song.
Matse was severely beaten by angry Natural Resources College (NRC) students for allegedly coaxing a girl that one of the students at the school was chasing.
The rapper who is also an alumnus of NRC visited the school with an ill motive of coaxing some girls at the campus.
According to an eyewitness, the development did not please some of the male students at the school who were after the said girls Matse was chasing.
The students ganged up and descended on the rapper who was recently in a tour to United States of America.
Pictures sent to this publication shows Matse on the ground being beaten by unknown students while others are watching from a distance.
