Galaxy liquor has killed a 38 year old man in Nkhotakota who consumed the drink with an empty stomach.
The deceased, Mc Donald Mwale who hailed from Jasi village in the area of Senior Chief Malengachanzi in Nkhotakota, was out on Tuesday with his employee Harry Tumbwe, 22 to look for fertilizer in a nearby village.
But upon their arrival to the village, the two passed by a drinking joint where they consumed Galaxy spirits till afternoon and whilst there the friend to the deceased Tumbwe, slept.
Mwale left his friend asleep and headed back home where his wife prepared him porridge since he was weak but after he had finished eating the porridge he passed on.
Medical report from Nkhotakota district hospital showed that the deceased died due to low sugar in the body called hypoglycaemia.
