Man Dies in a Motorcycle Accident

A 44 year old man identified as Geofrey Wilima has died after he was hit by a motorcycle at Chileka in Dowa, Saturday.

Dowa police spokesperson, Richard Kaponda confirmed the incident saying it took place at Chileka along the Dowa Boma-Robert Blake secondary school road.

Kaponda said the motorcycle was ridden by 18 year old identified as Sinthawile Kandikole who has since been admitted to Dowa District Hospital where he is being treated for the bruises he sustained during the incident.

“Due to the impact of the accident, the deceased sustained fractures in both legs and deep wounds in his face.” Kaponda sasid.

Kaponda further stated that the deceased was pronounced dead while receiving treatment at Dowa District Hopsital.
