Information sourced by Faceofmalawi indicates that an Axa bus traveling from Mzuzu to Blantyre involved in road accident at a place called Lojwa in Mzimba district.
The accident happened at around 10pm yesterday and all passengers escaped without no injuries, according to an eyewitness.
“Axa got involved in a road accident yesterday 10:00 pm at Lojwa as we were approaching Lojwa from Jenda. Ahead of us was lorry moving very slowly in the same direction but didn’t have lights both front and rear and no reflectors. Unfortunately, there was another on coming lorry.
“The time our bus driver realised there was a lorry in front of us, it’s too late. He ended up hitting it from the left side. The driver lost control of the bus immediately and went off the road into a maize field,” said one of the passengers.
He added: “We are all fine by the grace of God except one whom we think has broken the right leg in the process.
We just proceeded with our journey 3:00 am after sending us another bus from Mzuzu.”
