Business lady Jane Nthakomwa accused of faking her abduction

Lilongwe-based businesswoman Jane Nthakomwa is being accused of faking her on abduction by the police to implicate Maneno Enterprises, faceofmalawi can reveal.

Nthakomwa is said to have been kidnapped along the Area 14 Highway in Lilongwe on Monday evening at around 8:00pm as she was coming from office.

The business woman was found dumped alive in Kasungu District, over 100kilometres away from the place of her abduction.

She was then referred to Kasungu District Hospital for examination.

Her husband attributed the abduction to a tender at Ministry of Education Science and Technology (MoEST) of supplying books.

According to him, his wife received death threats from some of the bidders warning her not to submit her file.

But information sourced by this publication indicates that Nthakomwa through her company Inspired Computer Technology Consultants -ICTC Malawi dubiously applied for the tender.

After discovering that the whole move now known, Nthakomwa decided to stage her own abduction to implicate Maneno Enterprises.

Meanwhile law enforcers on Wednesday picked Dorah Nyirenda of Maneno Enterprises for questioning as she is completely familiar with all the facts relating to ICTC’s behaviour on the books contract.
