Police in Likoma have identified the boy as Julius Kanjaya who went to the lake on the said day with an intention of refreshing his body.

Reports indicate that the boy was also epileptic such that he was mostly under the control of family members.

When his parents realized that he was nowhere to be seen, they started searching for him from their relatives and his schoolmates but the efforts yielded nothing until his body was found flouting on the lake the following day on Tuesday, 27th March.
