Cholera outbreak hit Lilongwe

The Lilongwe District Health office has confirmed one cholera case has been registered in Nathenje, Lilongwe, after some tests were made on a 54-year -woman.

Spokesperson for the office, Richard Mvula, confirmed of the development in an interview with the press on Sunday.

Mvula said the results for the woman who remain quarantined have shown that she has cholera.

Mvula has since disclosed that all necessary measures are being implemented to avoid further spread as the rainy season approaches.
