Minibus Operators Yet to Slash Fares

Minibus operators are yet to slash fares despite a drop in fuel prices, some say they haven’t discussed reducing the fares.

President Peter Mutharika said the reason to reduce fuel prices is to save commuters from high fares due to a cut in seating capacity to avoid.

Currently, minibuses in Malawi are carrying two people per seat in a work to combat the spread of corona virus that has hit Malawi too.
