Zomba Records First Covid-19 Death

The city of Zomba has registered its first Covid -19 death.

Zomba City Council spokesperson Mercy Chaluma has confirmed.

According to Chaluma, local transmission cases have been recorded at Sadzi, Chinamwali, Matawale, Mtiya, St. Mary’s and Mayaka.

The council is advising citizens to follow prevention measures and stay safe.

As it stands, Malawi coronavirus cases are about to hit 2500 including 40 deaths.
