Unemployed nurses hold demonstrations in Blantyre

Unemployed nurses are holding demonstrations in Blantyre to force Tonse Alliance government of Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to employ them.

The marching which started from Queen Elizabeth Central Hopsital will end at Blantyre City Council where the protester will deliver the petition to Ministry of Health through the council.

The disgruntled nurses claim that government has been promising them to employ them but nothing is happening.

According to placards carried by the disgruntled nurses, the protesters accuses the Tonse Alliance government of living up to the campaign promises of employing 1 million youths.

The nurses also claim that they pay continue to renew their licences despite not being employed by government, saying this is a daylight robbery.
