Government has announced an increase of tax free band from K45, 000 to K100, 000 effective October 1, 2020.
The announcement has been made this morning when the minister of Finance Felix Mlusu presented the 2020/2021 national budget.
This tax measure was announced in the K722 billion provisional budget but was not implemented.
During campaign period ahead of June 23 fresh presidential elections, the Tonse Alliance promised to increase tax free bracket on salaried employees.
