2 Children Drown In Lake Malawi


Three children who went to swim in Lake Malawi, have died, police in Nkhotakota district say.
The three have been identified as Abudala Tambala, Kennedy Steven both aged 13 and Happy Phiri aged 10.
It is suspected that the three failed to swim back to the shore having been in the water for a longer time.
A search was then launched and they were found dead.
Currently, according to Nkhotakota Police Publicist Williams Kaponda, the remains of the three children have since been taken to Nkhotakota District Hospital mortuary for postmortem.
The three, hailed from Mphonde village in the area of Traditional Authority Mphonde in Nkhotakota in the district.
