WAP rapper, Cardi B born Belcaliss Marlenis Almánzar defended her estranged husband Offset after one of her followers attacked him on social media.
The Grammy-winning rapper-singer took to Twitter in a series of now-deleted tweets to defend Offset after a fan tweeted that Offset was ‘a bad man” and as such, they had a right to drag him.
“He a dumbass, not a bad man. Cause out of everybody that tried to steal, finesse me into working with their brand for less he got people coming for me with CORRECT CONTRACTS and never ask for a dollar or benefit like every1 else” she wrote in a since-deleted tweet.
Even though they are not on speaking terms Cardi B still has a soft spot for her estranged husband and she is not going to let anyone blast him. She explained that she won’t tolerate people disrespecting the father of her child.
“I don’t talk to him but you not going to disrespect my child father…If he dies, go broke, you, not the one that’s going to raise my kid and you, not the 1 who pays for her s***,” she added.
Cardi B amicably filed for divorce from the 28-year-old Migos rapper on September 16 – days before what would’ve been their third wedding anniversary, because they had grown apart, The Cosmopolitan reports.
The Bodak Yellow singer explained that she got tired of constantly having to argue with Offset and rubbished rumors that she was breaking up with him because he cheated on her back in 2018.
This is not the first time the couple has split up, sometime in 2018 Cardi B broke up with Offset after he cheated on her. However, after a brief separation, the divorce was called off, and the couple decided to give their relationship another chance.
But time around, due to irreconcilable differences between the two, they have failed to mend their relationship and are calling it quits after three years in their on-and-off marriage.
The ex-couple share one daughter, 2-year-old Kulture.
