A knife-wielding terrorist shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ was gunned down and killed by police after stabbing a policeman and trying to burn down a police station in a Muslim-majority area of Russia today.
The boy, 16, was carrying a knife and a Molotov cocktail and stabbed an officer multiple times before being shot down in the region of Kukmor.
Russian authorities said they were treating the incident as a terrorist attack and had opened a criminal case.
According to local news media Interfax, the boy had shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ and referred to the cops as ‘infidels’ during his attack in the area of Tatarstan.

Authorities said the boy had attempted to burn down a police station and stabbed a policeman while being arrested.
Another officer had fired warning shots in the air before being left with no choice but to start shooting at the terrorist, they said, adding that the boy had passed away due to his wounds before emergency services could get to the scene.
The policeman was stabbed a minimum of three times and was brought to a hospital but his condition was not said to be critical.
Authorities have opened a case into an ‘attempted terrorist act’ and ‘encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer’, they said.
