Cops Unearth Woman’s Headless Body Chopped Into 14 Pieces, Alleged Psychopath Arrested

India – In yet another shocking incident reported from Uttar Pradesh, police in Mainpuri district have unearthed a woman’s headless body that was chopped into 14 pieces. The body of the woman, a resident of Etawah district, was found buried in a field in Mainpuri on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Mainpuri police have arrested a 40-year-old man identified as Sarvesh Yadav for his alleged involvement in the murder. Police claim the man is a psychopath and was also involved in the murders of four other women.

The accused had set his own mother on fire in May this year when she came to know about his dark deeds and questioned him, said a report in Times of India. The cops have also arrested the maternal uncle of Sarvesh and both of them have been sent to judicial custody.

Sarvesh’s first victim was a young woman from Ahmedabad in Gujarat around 20 years ago. And the 38-year-old Puti Devi was his latest victim. She was last spotted with Sarvesh on September 20. Her husband died six years ago.

“During the course of interrogation, Sarvesh told police that he tried to convince Puti Devito to marry his uncle. When she rejected the proposal, he strangled her on September 20. He later chopped the body and buried her in a field to hide the evidence,” the report quoted Mainpuri SP Ajay Kumar as saying.

The woman was reported missing on October 10. An FIR was registered by Etawah police after finding evidence of the alleged murder of Puti Devi.

The murder came to light after a dog dug out the victim’s skull from Sarvesh’s field and it was spotted by a local resident who informed the police and the victim’s brother-in-law, who had come to enquire about her in the village.

Later, the deceased’s relative filed a police complaint against Srvesh and his uncle for alleged murder and destruction of evidence. The two accused were arrested on October 26.

After the FIR, the Mainpuri police on Wednesday mounted a search operation to locate the body of the woman at Sarvesh’s field and found the victim’s hair, clothes and bones.
