Nankhumwa cheers Mzomera Ngwira at Mzuzu Central Hospital

Leader of opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa who is also Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Vice President for the South on Sunday cheered Christopher Mzomera Ngwira who is admitted at Mzuzu Central Hospital.

Ngwira, DPP governor for the North is serving a 4 year jail sentence at Mzimba Prison after being found guilty over abuse of constituency development funds.

Last week he was transferred from Mzimba District Hospital to Mzuzu Central Hospital after getting ill while in prison.

Nankhumwa visited Ngwira earlier before attending the poppy day commemoration which was presided over by State President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera in Mzuzu.

Recently DPP President Peter Mutharika appointed Ackim Mwanza to replace the convicted Mzomera on Acting Capacity.

DPP Vice President for the North Goodall Gondwe confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
