A 35-year-old man has allegedly died at Kachere Township in Blantyre after being assaulted by men who are suspected to be criminals.
Limbe Police Station Public Relations Officer, Patrick Mussa has confirmed of the incident and identified the deceased as Lakson Zomola.
Mussa said the incident happened on November, 25.
“The deceased met met his fate when he was attacked by a group of criminals and was severely beaten, to the extent that he fell unconscious. He was rushed to Chiradzulu District Hospital by well wishers where he died whilst receiving treatment, “said Mussa.
Meanhwile, police have since launched a manhunt to arrest to suspects.
The deceased hailed from Nansansala Village in the area of Traditional Authority Mwambo in Zomba District.
