Mpinganjira bribery case: Court to deliver ruling on application by media house to cover the case live

The High Court in Blantyre is today expected to deliver its ruling on an application by different media houses to cover live the bribery case involving well-known businessman Thom Mpinganjira.

Mpinganjira is accused of attempting to bribe constitutional court Judges who were handling the Presidential polls case to rule in favour of former President Peter Mutharika of the Democratic Progressive Party.

The case is now in final stages as the state through the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) closed the case after parading over 5 witnesses.

According to information at hand, both parties in the case have made their submission on the matter.

Mpinganjira’s lawyer confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

“We have made our submission on the matter and we are now waiting for the presiding Judge on the matter,” he said.
