Woman suspected of practicing witchcraft dies after being stoned by angry mob

A woman who was stoned by an angry mob at Mpalare Village in Dedza this morning, has died at Dedza district hospital.

Dedza police Officer-in-Charge, George Chikhungu, says the woman, identified as Slyvia Banda, was pronounced dead upon arrival at the district hospital.

Chikhungu says three women, including one heavily expectant, were assaulted on suspicion they killed a boy through witchcraft.

The pregnant woman is in a critical condition at Dedza district hospital.
