The High Court in Blantyre has shifted to Thursday a ruling the court was supposed to make in a Parliamentary case for three constituencies. The ruling on the matter was shifted from 10am to this afternoon at 3:30 pm.

In the case, Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) was dragged to court for declaring incumbent Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) legislators Francis Kasaila winner in Nsanje Central, Esther Mcheka Chilenje winner in Nsanje North, and United Democratic Front’s (UDF) candidate Sam Khumbanyiwa winner in Chikwawa East.

Those that challenged the May 21 Parliamentary election results include three Malawi Congress Party (MCP) candidates; Foster Thipiwa (Chikwawa East), Enock Chizuzu (Nsanje North), and Kafandikhale Mandevana (Nsanje Central).
