President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is in Tanzania attending the funeral of late President John Pombe Magufuli.
Chakwera was seen off at Kamuzu International airport in Lilongwe by vice president Saulos chilima , cabinet ministers and the government party officials.
Magufuli who died on 15th march 2021 because of a heart related diseases will be buried on 25 March 2021 .
Tanzania as the country mourns Magufuli for 14 days and the flag waves in half –mast for the fallen leader.
The state funeral will take place at the Jamhuri stadium in Dodoma.
The Malawi leader is expected to return later in the afternoon at around 15: 30 hrs through the KIA in Lilongwe.
