THUGS STAB CCAP CLERIC TO DEATH IN MZIMBA

A 78-year-old CCAP cleric has died in Mzimba after thugs stabbed him to death.

Police say the deceased has been identified as Reverend Stantin Mchulu of Kumalambo CCAP Congregation at Jenda in the district.

Mzimba Police Deputy Publicist, John Nyirongo, told MBC that the thugs broke into the cleric’s house to steal house properties during the wee hours of Sunday.

The Reverend got alarmed and started chasing the thieves single handedly with an aim of apprehending them.

Unfortunately, the thugs overpowered Mchulu and used a knife to stab him to death in the process.

Meanwhile, Mzimba Police is hunting for the suspects and is appealing to the general public to provide information that could lead to the arrest of the suspected murderers.

Reverend Mchulu hailed from Kathibi Village in the area of Traditional Authority Kampingo-Sibande, Mzimba.
