Police in Ntchisi Malomo, have arrested a 42-year-old Mando M’bobo for allegedly breaking the arm of his wife over an allegation that the wife failed to provide him with food at a funeral ceremony.
The Suspect committed the offence on April 06, 2021 at Kanyamula Village in the area of Traditional Authority Chilooko in the district.
According to Police investigations, M’bobo and his wife Loveness Chilasa, 36, took a quarrel over food. It is alleged that the wife failed to provide food to the husband at a funeral ceremony that took place at a nearby village.
The husband took an axe handle, and hit the right arm of his wife and run away. The wife sustained internal fracture.
M’bobo will appear before the court of law soon to answer a charge of grievous harm.
M’bobo comes from Kanyamula Village, while the victim hails from Mphunda Village, both from the area of Traditional Authority Chilooko in Ntchisi district.
