MPC employees to vacate injunction on strike

Workers at the Malawi Posts Corporation are seeking to vacate an injunction that management has obtained stopping them from conducting an industrial strike.

Stanley Botolo, Vice Chairperson for MPC Workers Union has confirmed the development in an interview with the press.

MPC workers, on Friday last week, started holding an indefinite industrial strike demanding for pension and group life insurance- medical scheme salary increment and timely payment of salaries.

Speaking to the press Botolo, has said, the management has gotten an injunction stopping the strike.

Botolo has since said, the workers are consulting with their lawyers to vacate the court order and proceed with the strike until they get their grievances addressed.
