Muloza Police in Mulanje district is keeping in custody seven Mozambican nationals for illegal entry.
Confirming the development, Mulanje police public relations officer Gresham Ngwira said the arrest comes in the wake of crimes perpetrated by illegal entrants hence a special operation by the police in the district which led to the arrest.
Ngwira said during the operation, the law enforcers arrested some suspects including 20-year-old Mozambican national Manuel Evalisto who is also suspected of theft.
The suspects will appear before the court soon.
