Fire guts pumps at Mudi treatment plant in Blantyre

Electric fire has gutted some pumps at Mudi treatment plant in Blantyre that has consequently interrupted water supply in the city.

This means Blantyre city residents will likely face water hiccups.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.

Blantyre Water Board officials, including board chairperson George Mnesa, are currently visiting the site at the head office.
