21-Year-Old Pays K100,000 Fine After Assaulting Wife in Ntchisi

A 21-year-old man from Ntchisi, Festino Sandimose, has been fined K100,000 after pleading guilty to assaulting his wife.
The court heard that Sandimose committed the offence on the 2nd of this month after accusing his wife of stealing K21,000 from him.
Appearing before the court, Sandimose admitted the charge.
In passing sentence, Presiding Magistrate Fredrik Malovu said he had imposed a fine because the accused had pleaded guilty and did not waste the court’s time.
Sandimose has since paid the K100,000 fine. He comes from Chiwondo Village under Traditional Authority Nthondo in Ntchisi District.
