Three Dead, 21 Injured After Warehouse Wall Collapses in Limbe

construction collapsed at GM Plastics Industries in Maone, Limbe Township.
The incident occurred at around 2 p.m. on Thursday as 28 bricklayers and casual labourers were working on the warehouse, which had been under construction for the past two weeks.
According to Limbe Police Deputy Public Relations Officer Demetria Banda, the wall suddenly gave way, trapping the workers beneath the rubble.
The deceased have been identified only as Pemphero, popularly known as Mulili, Manyesa and Bule. Police are still working to establish their full identities.
Banda said officers responded immediately after receiving the report but found that all the victims had already been transported to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital. The three victims were pronounced dead on arrival, while the 21 injured workers were admitted and are receiving medical treatment.
Police have launched investigations to determine the cause of the collapse.
