Fire on Thursday night gutted down Azaz superrete in Kasungu Municipality destroying property valued at over 20 million Kwacha.
Kasungu police Officer-in-Charge, Violet Magwaya confirmed of the accident in an interview with the press.
According to Magwaya, the police have launched investigations into what caused the inferno.
However, the owner of the shop, Mahamood Abid, is baffled that Kasungu Municipality fire fighters could not respond to his SoS because the fire engine allegedly has a battery problem.
