Malawi Red Cross Society Bemoans Myth Surrounding Covid-19 Vaccine

A Humanitarian Organization Malawi Red Cross Society has expressed worry over rife rumors and myths about Covid19 Vaccine saying this is derailing their efforts to have many Malawians vaccinated.

McBain Kanongodza, Malawi Red Cross Society Secretary General made the remarks on Friday during a media orientation on Covid19 vaccine.

Kanongodza said it is sad that people continue to spread negative rumors about Covid19 vaccine which has made others not to get the vaccine.

According to Kanongodza, people are making up stories that those who get the vaccine would die in the next two years while some say, those who have received the Jab would not bear children.

“This is why we are engaging you the media to help in disseminating the right messages so that a good population of Malawi get the Vaccine”.
