Drama As Woman Hires Thugs To Force Ex-Boyfriend To Accept Paternity

In Zimbabwe, an emotionally tortured man recently approached Mutare Civil Courts seeking a peace order after his ex-girlfriend reportedly hired three thugs to assault and bully him into accepting responsibility for the pregnancy she was carrying.

The court heard that Evelyn Mugiyo and John Machivenyika dated for two months and separated last year after the latter claimed that the former was not sexually satisfying her.

Mugiyo reportedly dated and moved in with another man at a farm in Old Mutare and Machivenyika proceeded to marry another woman.

Five months later, Mugiyo resurfaced and claimed that Machivenyika was responsible for her pregnancy.

Machivenyika further alleges that on June 30 while he was at his workplace, three men visited him and asked him to accompany them to Mugiyo’s temporary residence at Berry Farm.

While at his ex-girlfriend’s place, the trio reportedly confronted him over her pregnancy he denied knowing anything about the issue.

The trio reportedly assaulted him and ordered him to take Mugiyo ad all her belongings which include two children from her failed marriage with him.

They reportedly bundled them into a car and drove them to Machivenyika’s house. Before they left they ordered him to take care of the family.

Responding to the application, Mugiyo and her brothers did not oppose the application.

Presiding magistrate, Xavier Chipato granted Machivenyika’s application before ordering the quarter not to threaten, harass or insult him, Manica Post reports.
