Ex-Minister Grace Obama Chiumia unwell, now using wheelchair

Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) member Grace Obama Chiumia who once served as Minister of Sports under the reign of former President Peter Mutharika is reportedly unwell.

Chiumia is currently using a wheelchair.

Chiumia has been silent since DPP was booted out of power through the court sanctioned fresh President polls on June 23, 2020.

Friends of DPP Vice President for South Kondwani Nankhumwa who is also leader of opposition visited her and donated assorted items.

“For the first time since DPP lost the June 2020 court sanctioned Fresh Presidential Elections, Friends of KN Mzuzu Chapter today 25th Aug, 2021 visited former Member of Parliament for Nkhatabay West Hon Grace Obama Chiumia and Director of Operations in DPP Hon Joe Nyirongo in the city of Mzuzu to cheer them up.

“The grouping which is led by Pachalo Msowoya has also donated to the two assorted items courtesy of Hon. Kondwani Nankhumwa,” wrote Mike Tembo.

Chiumia hailed Nankhumwa for the support.
