A minor girl’s brother allegedly committed suicide in Rajasthan after an audio clip of his sister went viral. In the audio clip, the girl was telling her aunt that her father raped her. The 32-minute-long clip was widely circulated in the Sanchore area of Jalore, Rajasthan.
In the clip, the girl told her aunt that her father used to make sexual advances even when she was asleep. The girl added that her father took her to a ground on the pretext of buying a new mobile phone and allegedly raped her.
The clip went viral on Saturday and soon reached the girl’s brother. The boy, who was disturbed after hearing his sister’s plight, jumped into the Narbada canal and ended his life.
In the audio, the girl also stated that on the day of the incident, her mother had asked their father to take her brother with them but he had refused. Meanwhile, the cops started an investigation after they learned about audio. The cops, however, learned about the boy’s suicide after they reached the survivor’s home, The Times of India reported.
The girl’s aunt also tells her that she should not be sleeping alone. Instead, she should sleep with her grandmother. To this, the girl replies that her father does not allow her to go out of the house alone or speak to anyone in the family. The girl later wishes for her father’s death and says that she is helpless. She adds that her mother scolded her for shouting at her father.
