DEDZA POLICE DISPEL LIQUID SPILLAGE RUMOUR AT LINTHIPE

Police in Dedza have dispelled reports that an unknown vehicle has spilled molasses-like liquid at Linthipe Bridge rendering the road almost impassable.

Dedza Police Spokesperson, Cassim Manda, told MBC that there is nothing serious as speculated on social media.

The social media was awash with stories that some cars have overturned at the spot due to the greasiness of the road.

Meanwhile, Siku Transport, a company some alleged its vehicles caused the spillage, have said it has no tankers as the company is involved in transporting dry cargo.

Martin Juma, an official of the company has said this in an interview with MBC.

Linthipe is one of accident hot-spots along Dedza-Lilongwe M1 Road.
