Malawi to issue digital Covid-19 vaccination certificates

Malawi has become one of the countries in the world now issuing digital Covid19 vaccination certificates for foreign travels.

The certificate which serves as proof that a person was vaccinated against COVID-19 is being implemented in other nations as one way of cushioning restrictions.

According to Dr. Charles Mwansambo, Principal Secretary in the ministry of health, the certificates will only be issued to those who have fully vaccinated.

According to Dr. Mwansambo, this will end situations in which people are required to produce the certificates when making foreign travel.
