A total of 24 students at Luviri Secondary School in Rumphi, have been placed in quarantine after testing positive for Covid-19.

The positive tests follow a screening exercise that targeted students and staff at the school.

According to the District Education Manager Mcphine Mzumara, there are twelve males and twelve female students.

Mzumara has since assured parents and guardians that none of the patients is in critical condition.
