MHC Raises Rentals Amid Concerns Over Rise Of Cost Of Living

Date:

The Malawi Housing Corporation (MHC) has adjusted upwards some of its rentals amid concerns of skyrocketing prices of goods and services in the country.
Information reaching this publication indicates that tenants who were paying K23,000 monthly, will now be part way with K28,000 each month, effective November 1, 2021.
Consumers Association of Malawi (CAMA) Executive Director, John Kapito, feels sorry for the consumers, saying they are sailing through tough times.
MHC Spokesperson, Enerstina Lunguzi, is justifying the hike, on the account that the Corporation has for the past three years, not made any revision to the rentals.
