Fire rescue team from Malawi Police Service has arrived on the scene to assist Blantyre City Council and Chileka Airport fire fighters to put out the fire.
The fire that has gutted down Leopard matches company and Eshan products has also injured four people who have rushed to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) in Blantyre.
The fire has been raging for 3 hours now.
On 28 October, 2019, there was another fire incident at the factory.
