Malawi uses all Doses of AstraZeneca vaccine

Minister of Health Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda says the country has used up all Astrazeneca doses by 29th December.

Chiponda revealed this during media briefing in the capital Lilongwe today.

She said her ministry will use all necessary measures to ensure that no dose should be put to waste.

Currently, 700, 000 doses of Johnson and Johnson are those in stock.

Apart from J&J, are doses of another vaccine regimen, Prfizer with 400,000 jabs.

Minister Chiponda says administration of Prfizer to children between the age range of 12 to 17 will commence on 1st January, 2022.
